Microboards, TechWerks Introduce EZCaster
CHANHASSEN, MINN. — Tuesday, August 4, 2009 — Microboards Technology today announced that they have reached terms with TechWerks to become the master distributor of the EZCaster Encoder, a device that broadcasts on-demand or live video over the Internet with the touch of an on-screen button.
"We're very excited about the EZCaster and what it could mean for government, churches, and schools," said Microboards Director of Marketing, Aaron H. Pratt. "It's a very effective way to broadcast video over the web without needing to be a web expert."
The EZCaster Encoder, which will begin shipping August 14, is a touch-screen device with audio and video inputs that streams video over the web. Users can choose whether to stream video live or make it available on-demand for potential viewers. The EZCaster requires an affordable monthly hosting subscription contract with TechWerks, making it easy to begin streaming video instantly.
With a list price of just $1,995, the EZCaster becomes the most competitively priced complete streaming video solution available on the market today. As the first distributor of the device, Microboards expects it to sell especially well in church and government markets. Microboards has established relationships with these sectors thanks to reliable disc duplication and printing equipment for over twenty years.
"I think anyone who is involved in training is going to love the EZCaster, especially those without a great knowledge of technology," Pratt continued. "It's very easy to use, and trainees will be able to click on a link on a website and the live broadcast will pop up. Anyone can use this technology on both the sending and receiving ends."
When purchased from a valued Microboards reseller, users will receive streaming service free for 60 days or 10 hours of live or on-demand video.
