Do More than Just Burn Data on Your CDs and DVDs with Microboards LightScribe Media

August 11, 2008, Minneapolis, MN – Microboards today announced it has expanded its recordable media offering to include LightScribe CD and DVD media. This addition allows Microboards and its 1800 resellers to service a larger market segment of the LightScribe recorder install base.

“We’re very pleased to add LightScribe media to our product offerings,” says Mitch Ackmann, president and COO of Microboards. “To date, we have had limited penetration in the consumer market space. With LightScribe’s large consumer recorder install base and our new media, we hope to leverage its massive market potential with our reputation for great service and high quality media.”

Microboards LightScribe media is available in CD-R, DVD-R and DVD+R in LightScribe media version 1.2.

LightScribe recordable media features a special laser-sensitive coating that allows a LightScribe recorder to laser etch Microboards LightScribe media with monochrome graphics and text on top of a CD or DVD. Additional information about LightScribe is available at www.microboards.com/lightscribe/.
