Microboards, Rimage Announce 2000i Disc Publisher

Minneapolis, MN, August 27, 2004 — Rimage Corporation (Nasdaq: RIMG), the leading provider of CD/DVD publishing systems for business applications, announced the market launch of the Rimage 2000i, its next-generation desktop CD/DVD publishing system, at last week's NAB 2004 convention in Las Vegas. The Rimage 2000i system was exhibited by Microboards Technology, one of Rimage's distribution channel partners.

The Rimage 2000i is expected to start shipping later in May.

Jim Lewis, vice president of Desktop Products, commented: "The Rimage 2000i was designed from the ground up after extensive market research into what customers want in an integrated CD/DVD publishing solution. What they want is a highly user-friendly, convenient and reliable system. Based on this input, the Rimage 2000i is a true plug-and-play product. No assembly is required and there is no printer to mount or alignments to make. The Rimage 2000i, which is based upon our advanced software and proven robotics, also leverages the latest advancements in ink-jet color printing from HP."

Mitch Ackmann, president of Microboards Technology, added: "We [look forward] to working with Rimage on the new 2000i offering. We have always admired Rimage's dedication to innovation in the CD/DVD publishing marketplace, and the 2000i fully embodies that commitment."
